Diamond Tales of Love
Slightly burned out, soft light. Reference: My Blueberry Nights
Slow paced music in the background throughout.
The film opens on a wedding. The bride and groom are doing saat phera. Both of them are really nervous. After 6 rounds the guy stops walking and stands still while the girl keeps walking without realizing it and bumps her head on his shoulder. An elderly man pushes the guy and actions him to do another round. The girl coyly smiles at the guy.

Cut to the shot of the girl's birthday celebrations. She still has the mehendi and the red and white bangles on her hand. Her friends have come over and her in-laws have thrown a party for her. But the guy is not there. She keeps checking her phone. She receives a message

Zoom on the message which reads,

Stuck at work...will be late. Carry on with the party. Rahul.
She pretends a headache and makes way to her room.
Cut to the guy walking in to an empty house. Confettis and gift boxes all around. He walks in to the bedroom and turns on the lights to find her sitting in a corner.
She forces a smile, gets up and leaves the room. When she returns with a piece of cake, she notices a bouquet and a gift box on the bed. The guy is standing in front of the mirror and taking off his tie. All the while, he's watching her through the mirror. She keeps the cake tray on the night stand, grabs the box and opens it. Her face brightens up as soon as she finds a pair of diamond earrings. The guy smiles, and says
 VO: Happy birthday
his eyes still fixed on the mirror. She walks up to him and hugs him from behind.

VO: Every little diamond tells a story.
Of a pounding heart, a lasting rush, joy and affection...
